Picton has some of New Zealand’s best independent boutique gift shops and also offers a large range of domestic shops where boaties and holidaymakers alike, will find everything they need.

Picton shops are open 7 days a week and usually only close for Christmas Day.

Since 1842, Picton has supplied trading ships with wool, meat, wood and other supplies to be shipped to Europe and Australia. Picton was New Zealand’s South Island link to London, Paris and other great cities in the 19th and early 20th centuries.

Today, Picton supplies the many pleasure boats and Yachts that use its beautiful marinas and offers the tourist, an amazing range of products made in New Zealand and all over the world.
